Judith Paine McBrien

Producer/Director: Judith Paine McBrien, Director/Producer of The Archimedia Workshop NFP, is the Director of the Daniel Burnham Film Project. For over 15 years she has written, directed and produced programs about architecture, history and urban design for public television broadcast as well as for organizations concerned with the arts and the environment including the Art Institute of Chicago, the American Institute of Architects, the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust and the Urban Land Institute. At Perspectives Media, she produced the award-winning 5-part series Skyline: Chicago for public television broadcast about Chicago’s history, development, and urban design. In 2000 she wrote and produced a Centerpiece Chicago Story, Daniel Burnham: The Power of Dreams, for Chicago public television station WTTW. McBrien holds a master's degree in architectural history from Columbia University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Gene Siskel Film Center of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Kartemquin Films

Kartemquin Films, Production/Editing Consultant, has a 40-year history of producing documentaries that entertain, educate and enlighten. Its many films include the recent PBS series The New Americans broadcast in 2004, Refrigerator Mothers, Vietnam: Long Time Coming and Hoop Dreams-which won every major critic's prize and journalism award in 1995. Kartemquin's films are broadcast nationally and internationally and are coupled with ambitious outreach and education campaigns. Kartemquin recently received a 2007 MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions.

Mary Morrissette

Mary Morrissette is Associate Producer for the Daniel Burnham Film Project. She has worked as a video producer in the Chicago area including projects for the Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry and Chicago Tonight at WTTW/Channel 11. Mary also has over 20 years of experience in the corporate sector both as a senior manager and as a direct salesperson.

Jim Morrissette

Jim Morrissette is Director of Photography and Technical Consultant for Make No Little Plans: Daniel Burnham and the American City. For over 30 years Mr. Morrissette has worked as a professional videographer and technical consultant on documentary and nationally televised programs for public television. He is an associate of Kartemquin Films and also worked on a variety of independent productions for PBS including the highly acclaimed six hour "Frontline" documentary The Farmer's Wife, A Still Small Voice dealing with spiritual thought and The New Explorers for Bill Kurtis Productions.

Geoffrey C. Ward

Geoffrey Ward is the script consultant for the Daniel Burnham Film Project. A noted historian, screenwriter, and former editor of American Heritage, he has written or co-written numerous documentary film scripts often for filmmaker Ken Burns including The Civil War, Baseball, The West, and most recently, the 7-part PBS series,The War, broadcast in 2007. He is the author of thirteen books, has won the National Critics Circle Award and has been awarded four Emmy Awards for screenwriting.

Media Process Group

Bob Hercules, founder of Media Process Group, will produce/direct the historic scenes for Make No Little Plans: Daniel Burnham and the American City. As a producer and director, Mr. Hercules' work has been seen widely on PBS, the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel and the Independent Film Channel. His most recent award-winning documentary films include Saul Alinsky and Forgiving Dr. Mengeles, which won the Special Jury Prize at the 2006 Slamdance Film Festival at the Sundance Festival In Utah.

Robin Dillow

Ms Dillow researches media and print materials for the Daniel Burnham Film project. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and holds graduate degrees in Library and Information Science, Urban and Environmental Geography, and Public Administration.

Ben Chandler

After graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in Urban American History, Ben realized that he didn't want to become a professor or make a lot of money like his peers. Interested in history, urban planning,film, cooking, carpentry, biking and odd facial hair, he sees documentary film work as the perfect intersection of his pursuits. He edits material and provides technical expertise for the Daniel Burnham Film Project.

Chad Rispalje

Chad is a publicity and outreach intern with The Archimedia Workshop and is currently attending the Arts, Entertainment and Media Management graduate program at Columbia College. He previously worked in TV news production at stations in Wisconsin and the Cayman Islands.

Camille Schvester

Camille comes from Strasbourg, France and was our international intern last summer. She is currently studying to enter a French business school. She is especially interested in cinema and has made made two short movies.
